Another lazy day with a late start. Today was a side trip down the road towards Bahía Exploradores. According to our guide book, about an hour down the road we would find the viewing platform for the Ventisquero Exploradores Glacier. The road weaved it's way down a beautiful valley with a new glacier coming into sight on the high mountains round every bend, except the glacier were were heading to see. After more than two hours we finally arrived, paid our entrance fee as the viewing platform was on private land and headed up the trail that climbed the terminal moraine and gave elevated views over glacier.

It was a little overcast so we spend more than two hours relaxing and waiting for the clouds to clear hoping to gain a glimpse of San Valentín, a 4070m peak. The rest of the skies cleared but the clouds lingered over the higher peaks so we went able to see it. Heading back to Puerto Rio Tranquilo we stopped off for ice cream and settled in for the evening in front of our log fire.
