Day Thirty Two - Last day in El Calafate

Photo: We probably ate too many of these.

Our last day in El Calafate. An early morning trip to the local hospital to get an appointment for Gabys knee, then back to bed for an hour before heading back for the actual appointment. The rest of the day we spent eating and relaxing in the hotel.

Customer Service in El Calafate. Despite the fact that a lot of money has been poured into the development of El Calafate, including the new high-tech hospital (due to it being in the ex-president home province) it is remarkable how bad the customer service is in general. On various occasions we have come across unbelievably bad customer service. From employees who think spending time on their mobile phone is more important than attending guests to other that think they are doing you a favour just by attending you even though you are paying for a service. It's a shame such a beautiful town has a service sector with such a bad attitude.
