Photo: The Glaciarium on the outskirts of El Calafate
After stuffing ourselves for breakfast we headed to the Glaciarium located 5km outside of El Calafate to learn about the glaciers.
Glaciarium is a modern glacier Interpretation Centre, built to entertain and educate about ice, glaciers and the Patagonian Ice Fields.
It was an interesting and worthwhile trip. After spending the morning looking at exhibits we parked ourselves in the cafeteria for lunch while looking out at the amazing views of the Patagonia steppe and mountains beyond. In the short trip back to our hotel we stopped off at a cafe to further fill our stomachs before finally arriving back at the hotel to relax after such a stressful day....
