A classic snow capped cone volcano just outside Pucon. One of the most climbed mountains in South America. There are group departures daily (depending on the weather) from the agencies in Pucon.

Just 10km's south of Pucon; this volcano is most commonly climbed as part of an organised group from Pucon. There are regulations in place and a solo/independent ascent should be possible, but enquireat CONAF office in Pucon. All organised groups are provided with crampons, ice axe and protective clothing for a safe ascent of the Volcano.
Access: From pucon take the road to Refugio Villarica. There is a CONAF office on the road up to the refugio.
Route: From the car park at the refugio follow the line of the chair lifts to the top lift then there is usually a well work trail in the snow (or rocks) straight up to the summit. The last section before the summit is much steeper.

CONAF Office: The CONAF office in the center of Pucon (Lincoyan 336. Open 9:30am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday) will be able to give up to date route and access info about this Quetrupillan ascent.
