				Finally ... sun!
It was probably the quietest night we’ve ever had - just the faint sound of slightly heavy breathing, which is surprising considering our 130-bed dorm was almost full.
Up at 5:30, and interesting to see so many others up too, although very few were ready to leave at 6am when we set off.
We dropped down to an arm of the reservoir, crossed the bridge, and the climb began almost immediately as we headed through some woodland. The views were all the same until about 10:30 - mist. It was only as we dropped into Palas de Rei that the mist burnt off and the warm rays of the sun caught our faces.
We thought our albergue opened at 11am, but we waited outside in the sun until midday before we could check in.

Our albergue for the night
First to arrive (again), we were straight in the showers, washed our clothes, and went to the butcher to choose our lunch - steak and sausages. We stopped at the supermarket where Gaby inadvertently purchased the town’s second most expensive pastries, then off to a bakery where she managed to purchase the most expensive one.

Lunch
Our steak was eaten in the garden under the shade of a tree, then we enjoyed a siesta - digesting both the meat and the bakery bill.
