Day One - Bariloche, Argentina to Puerto Octay, Chile

The journey on a thousand miles begins with a single..... file queue for two and a half hours; welcome to, or should I say goodbye Argentina.... Yes, Argentine customs is no different to normal with a huge queues of people waiting for a disorder to be unleashed on them that can only be found at a border crossing.
By late afternoon the queues are replaced by wide open mountain roads as we cross the Cardinal Samore pass into Chile. Descending into the green pleasant pastures beyond; the clear blue skies welcome us with views of the Puyehue, Osorno & Calbuco volcanoes. We arrived at Zapato Amarillo bed and breakfast for a well deserved break and great end to our first day on the road.
