Photo: When you are the only ones on a group tour, it becomes a private tour!
By 7.30am we had packed our bags, checked-out of our room and were having a complimentary breakfast at a nearby cafe.
We were just changing rooms at our hotel but heading out for the morning on a trip to the tea plantation and Mossy forest.
Our guide picked us up at 8am from the cafe and informed us were were the only clients on the trip, so basically we had a private guide for the morning.
First stop was the BOH tea plantation.
BOH has been a leading tea producer in Malaysia since 1929. One of the few fully-integrated tea companies in the world, BOH grows, processes, packs and markets its own brand of authentic, home-grown, Malaysian teas.
We were dropped on the roadside in the middle of the tea plantation and left to explore the plantation. We rejoined with our guide further down the road and again he left us to experience the plantation as we strolled along the road. It seemed more like a walking tour but we gained a different perspective to others who drive directly to the visitors center.
On arriving at the visitors center we toured the factory where they still prepare the tea in he same way they have done since 1929.
After watching the short films, we bypassed the tea shop and headed straight to the cafe, but it was the cakes that caught our attention rather than the tea!
At the hotel we checking into our new room and relaxed for our last evening of 2019.
