OUR JOURNEY

Our last day in Luang Prabang we were to head to the Kuang Si waterfalls, 30kms outside of the city.

You could tell we had booked a nicer hotel today as we were welcomed with a glass of a freshly squeezed orange juice.

'Time to see the Monks' said Gaby at 5.45am. They walk through the streets every morning chanting and receiving donations of food

6.49 am, the bed started moving and the curtains were swaying slightly, it was a gentle rocking. I got up to see why, Gaby woke up because of the movement.

An early start to avoid the mid day heat, we headed out to a temple we missed after cutting our bike ride short yesterday.

We hired bikes and headed off on the Luang Namtha valley circuit.

Today we crossed to Laos and headed to a National Park, but could have ended up in the capital!
