Day 2 of our Vega Travels cruise on Halong Bay.

Day one of our Halong Bay cruise with Vega Travel.

There were slightly fewer clouds than in the previous two days and we were rewarded with better views as we walked back to the bus station for our early morning bus to Hanoi.

The streets were quiet as we walked the 10 minutes to the bus stop. We could even walk on the pavements without having to weave our way between motorbikes and scooters.

Today we explored the Old Quarter of Hanoi; the markets, back streets and did some shopping.

At 6:10am the hotel manager knocked on our door to say the taxi was here to take us to the airport. Two minutes later the taxi driver himself knocked on our door to ask how long we were going to be.
