Day 61 - George Town, Penang

Our bus was slightly late to leave for Penang and arrived even later - it was the same bus company we used for our journey to the Cameron Highlands which was also delayed.

It was a shock to get off the air conditioned bus after four nights in the Highlands. Stepping off felt like opening the oven door. The taxi to our hotel had its air conditioning on full, so did the hotel reception; but the AC in our room struggled to reduce the temperature much below 26 degrees.

The afternoon was spent walking round the old town. By the evening we had found an air conditioned shopping center so spend a bit of time there.
