An easy half day ascent (2½ hours up) of this straight forward volcano offers great views over volcanoes Puyehue, Osorno & Calbuco and Cerro Puntiagudo.

Located about 100km east of Osorno.
Access: From Osorno, head east on route '215' for about 75 km's then turn off following the signs for the Antillanca Ski Centre (you will pass the Hotel Termas de Puyehue). The ski centre is about 18 km's on a good gravel road from route '215'.
Route: From the Ski Centre on paying a CL$ 2500 (in 2011) fee you can drive up the access track of the ski centre for 3 km's to the Raihuen crater where you can park. From here you can see the summit. Cross to the left hand side of the flat bottomed Raihuen crater and pick up the path just to the right of the small gorge on the north side. Ascend to the rim of the crater and head to the broad north west ridge of Volcano Casablanca, once you start ascending on the loose volcanic scree you should find a well trodden trail that leads to the metal box on the summit. Return via the same route. It's about a 2½ hours to the summit from the Raihuen crater.
