Access can be difficult due to new mining activity stopping access to the original trail.

---|---|---|
Duration: | 2 Days, 1300m ascent | |
Grade: | Medium - route finding skills needed | |
Access: | Private vehicle | |
Costs: | Small fee for access over private land | |
Equipment: | Ice axe and crampons in early season |
Apparently the trail marked on the 1:50,000 map has been closed due to private mining activity stopping access. It may be possible to start from Laguna Blanca (access via private land - small fee payable) but allow 2 days and camp at the lake to make an early morning start.
Route: I haven't done this trail myself. From Laguna Blanca the trail aparently heads up the valley, following the right hand stream towards its source before making a rising traverse to the left to join up with the original trail and on to the summit.
